1. Data Dialog on assessment results |
▪ Student learning outcomes are being developed for all Maui CC courses and programs ▪ Assessment results of SLOs are available on 5 programs: ABIT, Hospitality & Tourism, Business Tech, Accounting, and Human Services |
▪ Jeannie will follow up with other campus institutional researchers to ascertain if results are available on assessment of SLOs ▪ Plans are underway to add an external evaluator |

2. Summer accomplishments & acknowledgements |
▪ Committee encouraged to provide Colleen with information about summer accomplishments and acknowledgements |
▪ Clyde will send out email |

3. Space considerations |
▪ Possible use of space in the renovated student center building ▪ Suzette presented a floor plan for moving her operations into the student center; the Chancellor’s office will not relocate ▪ Clyde discussed filling the spaces that will be vacated by instruction in Ka`a`ike |
▪ Suzette will coordinate the move and work to maintain the student-centered purpose of the building ▪ Library renovation storage needs to be determined

▪ Program was discussed and reviewed ▪ Diane’s August 7th schedule is latest draft |

5. System enrollment growth fund |
▪ Clyde reviewed details ▪ Remedial and non-credit options were discussed |
▪ Baseline number of classes need to be identified ▪ Outreach enrollments will be needed ▪ Suzette to look into credit/non-credit options |

6. Fall enrollment update |
▪ Alvin: as of today enrollment is 2,648; figure does not reflect all paid enrollments ▪ By majors: Liberal Arts 1108; CTE 894; unclassified 476; other 158 – home based on other campuses |
▪ Purge reports will be updated on a continuing basis to provide the most reliable enrollment data |

7. Housing status |
▪ 27-29 students expected ▪ Building inspections not yet finalized ▪ 20 rooms are reserved at Maui Seaside; students are aware of this possibility |
▪ Alvin will continue to monitor |

8. Student orientation – 8/11/07 |
▪ 176 students signed in plus others who didn’t sign in; parents also attended ▪ Good experience overall ▪ Suggestions: more structure for the tours; provide a digital version as supplement |
▪ Alvin following up with Elena to review orientation and discuss what went well and what could be improved ▪ Improvements will be based upon evaluations |

9. Tuition and fees |
▪ David provided an update; total is 10.7% increase over last year, same time |
▪ David will continue to provide periodic updates |

10. Position vacancies |
▪ Hiring in progress: Math, SLIM Director, Curriculum Banner, Perkins Coordinator, Instructional Designer ▪ Lanai: difficulty finding qualified person for support position ▪ University Center: Karen is working on ▪ Status from David: Outreach IT, Fiscal support specialist for RDP & janitor, general laborers, AC mechanic ▪ Alvin: 3 counselors |
