An Informational letter containing a summary of progress on recommendations will be sent to junior WASC commission. · Can use open admission at two-year level and selective admission for upper division program as a means to track student progress.

Name Change |
· Suggestion that we use one name consistently for college. Using multiple names can lead to confusion, especially among out-of-state colleges and employers. · Other community colleges have dropped the word “community” in their names when they began offering baccalaureate degrees. · UH Maui College affirmed by Alvin as earlier endorsed by Academic Senate

· Encourage students, faculty, and staff to remain at home when ill. · Explore ways to allow ill students to complete assignments at home. · Discontinue policy of requiring doctor’s notes to verify illness. · Teachers to send students whom they believe have the flu to the Maui CC Health Center, one of the few centers that is also a “sentinel site” to track the virus. · Sanitize regularly door knobs, computer equipment, and other items touched by many people. · Utilize Purel hand-cleaning stations. · Suzette and Denise working on email to faculty and staff. · Suzette working on contingency plan to be used when faculty member is ill.
